Bio

Dr. Hegler Tissot is a senior research fellow in Health Informatics. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Universidade Federal do ParanĂ¡ in 2016, as a member of the C3SL Labs, and was a postdoctoral researcher at Macquarie University, in 2017. He mostly works with knowledge engineering, and his main research interest is about improving public health services by applying natural language processing to extract structured information from electronic health records and using machine learning to design classifiers, prediction models and risk assessment applications within the clinical domain.
